New PhD! Caragh Barry

Caragh Barry completed her PhD in Hispanic Literature with an emphasis in Translation Studies with the dissertation It’s Always Personal: Exploring Translator/Interpreter Agency and Emotion through Translator/Interpreter Characters in Hispanic and Lusophone Fiction, sections of which have appeared previously in Dedalus magazine and will appear in an upcoming anthology from Vernon Press. Caragh is working as a Spanish-language lecturer for the Spanish & Portuguese Department at UCSB while she completes formal training to become a court interpreter for the state of California.
