Carolina Galvis Echeverry received her degree in Spanish and English from the National Pedagogical University of Colombia. There, she cofounded the literary journal Rara Avis and was a member of its editorial board for eight years. Shestudied a specialty in pedagogy with emphasis in Autonomous Learning at UNAD University and received her M.A. in literary criticism from the National University of Colombia.

Carolina Galvis worked for four years at the University of Ulsan, South Korea. She taught Spanish to lower division students and assisted Professor Byong Sun Song doing reviews of different novels, evaluating several articles for publishing, and editing literary texts.

Her areas of interest include: Contemporary Latin American literature, philosophy, avant-garde, theatre and experimental writing.
