Seniors who have completed 30 upper-division Spanish/Portuguese units with a major GPA of 3.50 and overall GPA of 3.0 can earn “Distinction in the Major” (graduate with Honors) by successfully completing SPAN/PORT 195.
Students are to choose topic under the supervision of an instructor willing to oversee their study, fill out the application, and submit it to the Spanish and Portuguese Undergraduate Advisor, Elena Báez. Once your application has been approved, the Undergraduate Advisor will provide you with an add code to enroll in SPAN/PORT 195. This course includes writing an in-depth research paper (around 20 pages long).
