Bio

Diana Marcella Vargas is a PhD Candidate in Literature at the University of California, San Diego. She earned a B.A. in Communication at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (2006) and a M.A. in Spanish from San Diego State University (2012). Her research interests include 20th century Latin American, Mexican, and Peninsular Literature produced by women. Diana taught Spanish in the Literature Department at UCSD from 2012 to 2023, and from 2010 to 2012 at the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at SDSU.
