Jaume Pons holds a B.A. in Catalan Studies (2012) from the College of Philosophy and Letters and a M.A. in Language Education (2014; “Professorat d’Educació Secundària Obligatòria i Batxillerat, Formació Professional i Ensenyament d’Idiomes”) from the School of Education, both at the University of Alicante, Spain. He is presently working as predoctoral Research Staff at the University of Alicante with a grant awarded by the Generalitat Valenciana (VALi+d Program). His dissertation (“El canvi lexicosemàntic: una aproximació diacrònica d’acord amb la semàntica i la lexicologia cognitives”) analyzes the evolution of the verbs metre and posar in the Catalan of the XIII-XIX centuries.
