Adriana Moosekian is pursuing her Ph.D. in Iberian Linguistics. She received an M.A. in Spanish from San Diego State University in 2016 and a B.A. in Italian Studies from UC Santa Cruz in 2012. She interned with the U.S. Department of State in the Dominican Republic and Vatican City, and has studied in Argentina, Peru, and Italy. Her research interests include Sociolinguistics and Dialectology with a focus on the relationship between language and identity. Her sub-research interests are Phonetics/Phonology and Applied Linguistics. She is a passionate language teacher, and pursues a career as a professor of Hispanic Linguistics, as well as Spanish and Italian Language.
