Alessandro Rocco, Università degli studi di Bari Aldo Moro

Spanish Language and Hispanic-American Culture and Literature professor at the Bari University, Italy. His main lines of research arise from some questions about cinema and literature. Is the script a literary text? Can we consider the script writer as the author of a film? Trying to answer the first question he published a study of author scripts, most of them Mexican. Il film scritto nella narrativa ispanoamericana, 2009. The second question inspired the book Gabriel García Márquez and the Cinema, Life and Works (Tamesis, Boydell & Brewer, 2014), that analyzes films of Gabriel García Márquez, as well as other essays about scripts by José Emilio Pacheco (El castillo de la pureza), Guillermo Arriaga (21 grams), and mainly José Revueltas.
